About 7 % of the population will have PTSD at some point in their lives.
Nearly 8 million adults have PTSD during a given year.
Six out of every 10 men (or 60%) and 5 of every 10 women (or 50%) experience at least one trauma in their lives.
Children and teens have PTSD too! Studies show that 15% to 43% of boys and girls go through at least one trauma. Many go through much more!
Child abuse cases increase every year, with 65% of children experiencing neglect, 18% physical abuse, 10% sexual abuse, and 7% mental abuse.
