Adoption Coaching is Trauma-Informed

The trauma-informed parent looks at rebuilding relationships from the inside out versus the outside in. Instead of focusing on rewards and punishments, it creates real change through emotional safety, connection, and regulation. Parenting tools will be provided that use the parent as the source of grounding and regulation. The parent must understand their own trauma history and respond to themselves and the child in ways that prevent retraumatization.
